The company NuVasive recently announced that they have developed two new implants. The first is designed to be used for procedures that use transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion. The second implant will provide similar benefits, but is designed for anterior column support. Both are a part of the specific line of implants and devices in the company’s Advanced Materials Science line. The implants are made of materials that let medical professionals create radiographic images. It helps to provide minimal invasion for transforaminal lumbar fusion, which has recently shown promise for older patients.
